Noreen Nolan. Her previous experience includes serving as an on-air music programmer, KZSC Orientation and Training Coordinator, and SC County Radio Broadcasting Instructor for the Regional Occupational Program, as well as an emcee at various community and university shows. She is most drawn to melodic jazz ranging from standards and contemporary to bossa nova and ECM artists. She also assists with underwriting efforts at KSQD. [email protected]
Bill Van Bloom. He has been presenting music to audiences in a variety of capacities for decades. These roles include prior stints in radio as an on-air DJ and Program Director, live sound engineer and stage manager, recording engineer and musician. He is a jazz drummer regularly performing locally in several jazz bands. His musical tastes in jazz run from European small ensembles through bebop, swing and standards to whatever is new and different. [email protected]
Charles A. Perrone (aka DJCP). He spun tracks on campus radio at UCSC c. 1970, before the university station was inaugurated. He was also one of the students in the very first jazz classes at UCSC, The Art of Jazz (1970). He has done radio specials at the national university in Mexico City, the University of Texas, the University of Florida, and a few other locations. Since the days of teenage garage bands and suburban blues, he has been on the performing side of popular music too, though much more Latin American/Brazilian since the early seventies.
